Join Our Empowering Camp !!!

Please check out Amy Barth's website Safe Girls Strong Girls - Read about Camp CADI. I am so excited to participate in this empowering camp!! It is like a dream come true to be able to see girls come together and share their stories and share fun and great activities! I will be there for some of the camp, and I will run some groups with "Invisible Girls"- but most of the camp is about FUN! So come on girls, don't be shy. I have received some emails and sent out some applications. I know we have a large Girlthrive community of righteous fabulous girls that could join the camp and have an amazing time- So please please email me at drpatti@girlthrive.com - I can send you the application and chances are you will be accepted while there is still room!! Remember it is free. It also may be just the thing if you are going off to college- to give you a great send off and stronger sense of security. xxoo dr. patti

I was going through your old posts and reading the comments so I ended up watching "hard candy" and man is that an awsome film. I know exactly how hayley feels and I found that movie well beyonud words. I know some people don't get it nor do they see it as a film of revenge and a choice to face up to what you did or br a coward but on who's more crazy. I do not think she was crazy though I do think she did let her emotions get in the way of her proper thinking, though I do totally understand what she was thinking and feeling, and everything in between. still the movie was awsome and I think I might go buy it.
also I though you should know I no longer have those feelings or thoghts that hayley has I let go of them a long time ago and I THINK I may have forgiven him and my mother.

Interesting that you have forgiven your abuser, but you still really liked the anger in the movie. I think her anger and her smartness is so great! I am really glad that you also loved the movie- we are in the minority. I know many people that did not like it and did not want to see it. But I felt it was very possitive to have that kind of strength and anger. Maybe because you have forgiven , it gave you some space to be angry again at the collective unjustice of sex abuse! xo dr. p
