I am joining Amy Barth the Executive Director of Safe Girls Strong Girls and we are colaborating to bring Camp Cadi to New Jersey. Amy from Camp CADI has agreed to direct the camp. If you go to Amy's site Safegirls Strong-girls and click on CAMP CADI you will find her camp. The camp in New Jersey will be just like Camp CADI in Georgia. I would love to recruit girls through my website and book. So, please send me an email if you think you would like to come to the retreat, and of course I will be there some of the time too!! xoxoxox dr. patti

About "Invisible Girls"
- Dr Patti
- United States
- "Invisible Girls" tells the truth about sexual abuse as no other book has! Rather than me telling you how the book is touching girls around the world, I will tell you what they are saying! "Invisible Girls has saved my life. I was afraid that I was the only girl keeping these secrets, and when I read "Invisible Girls" I starting telling about my abuse, and suddenly I knew I could be alright"- Sue 18 years old "Invisible Girls" is short of a miracle- I read it whenever I feel alone. It helps me to deal and grow and go on."- Tamar 17 years old "Until I read "Invisible Girls" I was afraid to tell what happened to me. Now my mum is supportive and I know I can heal" Britney 14 years old

I think this is great, too bad I don't live in the states! I would really love to meet you one Dr. Patti!
I would love to attend.
though is there an age limit?
(I turned 21 back in Feburary)
Just asking because on her site it says 18, and on the video it says 21, and then on the application it says 19.
SO I would just like a little bit of clarification.
THANKS
Yes the age limit is 18. But InsearchofChrist if you contact Amy Barth directly on her site and tell her you heard about her through Girlthrive, ask about the groups she is planning for women over 21. xodr. p
just a quick question
how long has she been doing this
as in how long has this program been going on? is it new this year or has been going on several years?
Amy Barth started her first camp last summer, and she is great. She is running another camp in a couple of weeks in Georgia (where she is from) and she has a healing quilt where girls from all over contribute. I trust her work otherwise I would not have asked her to run the IID camp.
It says if you are "in" the New York, etc area. What if I'm visiting any of those places at the time can I still sign up?
This is such a cool idea! It will be so good for the girls that get to go- its amazing being around people who understand, people just like you, and not constantly feeling different to everyone and hiding the real you away! Being able to let go, and forget about everything- even if its just for 4 days! :D
thanks dr patti for getting involved in yet another awsome thing!
What if you are younger than 15?
This particular retreat is for girls that are between 15 and 18 years old. But I think if you contact Amy at her site Safegirls she is running a camp next year for younger girls. xo dr. p
I would love to attend the camp.
I am 17 years old and it would benefit me alot (I think)
